Since 1982, KBS Electrical Distributors, Inc. have specialized in the distribution of quality transmission, distribution, substation, and generation products. We provide world-class products, services, and dependability to the cooperative and municipal markets.
Since forming KBS, we have established two subsidiary companies: KBS Electrical Distributors, Inc. of Houston and KBS Management. Our corporate headquarters in Bryan, TX consists of an 8-acre campus, a 30,000-square-foot warehouse, and 5 acres of concreted outdoor storage. We also operate additional branch offices and warehouses in Austin, Beaumont, Coldspring, Houston, Itasca, Livingston, San Antonio, and Woodville, Texas, as well as a branch office in Sulphur Springs, AZ.

We achieve this goal through on-time delivery of high-quality products and services, while promoting a continuous improvement environment. We represent major manufacturers of power generation, transmission, substation, and distribution products, with several being industry leaders in quality and innovation. We also maintain one of the largest inventories in the region so we can achieve the highest order fulfillment rate possible, with orders shipped in full and on time with the first shipment.
In addition to our large inventory, we are a member of the North American Association of Utility Distributors (NAAUD), which gives us access to over $400 million worth of inventory through NAAUD partners.
Superior Service with Integrated Systems
Ease of doing business is paramount to us. We have made significant investments in technology to help streamline transactions from beginning to end. Customer orders are processed using a best-in-class ERP system that includes bin-located, barcoded inventory with same-day shipment available. We allow you to place orders using your own part numbers, which are cross-referenced in our system to the corresponding manufacturer’s part number, with both numbers appearing on the order documentation.
We can also process orders using electronic data interchange (EDI) and web services to efficiently conduct business transactions such as order processing and billing. This program reduces transactional errors as well as overhead costs related to purchasing and accounting.
Customers can shop 24/7 on our website to browse inventory and access the latest product information. Users can log into their account to check pricing, place orders, check order status, review order history, and more.
